Colin Riley
Founder, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Colin Riley (he/him) is a dedicated mental health professional who earned his Doctorate of Nursing Practice with an emphasis in Psychiatric-Mental Health in May 2021. With over 11 years of experience in mental health, Colin is committed to learning all he can about evidence-based care for mental illness. He is passionate about reducing the stigma associated with it.
As an LGBTQ+ ally, Colin is devoted to providing affirmative and supportive care to this community. He believes in a Health at Every Size approach to wellness and is particularly excited about innovative treatments in psychiatry, especially psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.
Colin's journey in mental health began as a psychiatric technician working with adolescents at Primary Children's Wasatch Canyons Residential Treatment Center. He then spent four years at the University of Utah conducting neuroimaging research on individuals with psychiatric illnesses. Before earning his doctorate, Colin was an inpatient psychiatric nurse, gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
With his extensive background and dedication to progressive mental health care, Colin Riley is committed to positively impacting the lives of those he serves.
